Game Day

On Saturday, the ducks played their season opener against UW. I didn't realize it until I dressed her, but Adalie was wearing a Huskie color - purple. So, we put her duck socks on to even it out. I also propped her up on the couch so she could experience a little sitting up.

She then tipped over :-)

Two and a half months

I have been trying to capture Adalie's elusive smiles. A few of these pictures have her little half smile. One of these days we'll get a really good one. Two days ago we enjoyed a great little first. Addi laughed. She looked up at Papa (Sandy) and giggled. Then she sat there and laughed again. It was sooooo great. I love little baby laugh and am excited to hear it again.
She's been sleeping very well - about 8 hours/night, though didn't nap during the day for a few days.
I (Nicole) went back to work this week. I just worked part time and am going back next week full time. Sandy has been home with her which is wonderful. We're excited for the long weekend for a little family time.

Sweet smiles

I can't decide if this is a cute smile or kind of
scary :-)

"Ummmm"

"Whoa"

Looking, looking. Addi is turning into
quite the observer

She has started moving her tongue all over the place

These are her big girl jammies.

Johnny Jump Up!

The Greens let us borrow this fun jumping swing! Adalie isn't even able to hold up her head, but I really wanted to try it out. I propped her up with some blankets. She chewed on some fun blocks and jumped around a little. She did really well for a little while, but then she couldn't hold her head up any more. When she slumped over, she was pretty much done. We'll try again :-)

First time in the swing.

Hi, little one.

Addi fell asleep on the floor. We put some blocks on her
tummy. She didn't wake up so we took a pictures :-)

Addi is growing up so fast. She's just too cute!

Tim's Wedding

These pictures were just posted of my brother Tim's wedding. His wedding photographer is the little brother of my best friend growing up, Emily. His name is Travis Wilton. He and his wife work at a team and they are awesome. Check out www.wiltonphotography.com. Here they are...

So, yeah, the parking lot of the church (which was supposed
to be done) was being paved the day of the wedding.

Two months old and so happy!

While Adalie's two month appointment was on Tuesday, she's actually two months old today! She has been smiling more and more. We love it. We've also been introducing her to new toys/activities. At first she really hated being on her tummy. Last night I put her on her tummy and she just laid her little head down. She was pretty tired as we had been playing for awhile.

She smiles the most just after she wakes up.
This is right after a nap.

Silent laughing?
(on a side note) - this is a really cute onesie
that her Nana Lindsay got her. It's a 3-6 month. Yup.

Sometimes Mama likes to get the not-so-flattering pictures.

Two Months

Yesterday Adalie had her two month doctor's visit. She is 22 inches long (44%) and weighs 11lbs. 12oz. (77%). The doctor said there is no such thing as a fat baby :-) The doctor also commented that she has "beautiful skin." Of course she does, she's beautiful. Then, she got her first three shots. Adalie did very well. She just cried a little bit and recovered well. Last night she was a little warm. We took her temperature for the first time and she had her first low-grade fever. So, we snuggled and kept a wash cloth on her head. She seemed to enjoy it and then slept for seven hours through the night. Hurray!

The funny part is that her arms are too short
to pull that wash rag off of her head :-)

got her.

Smiles all around

The day after the wedding we joined Heather's family for a wonderful brunch. We basically got to eat amazing food and watch them open presents. How fun! It was so nice to have a little extra time to spend with family. Tim and Heather managed to look amazing in all of the pictures we took (sheesh!).
I also needed to add some awesome pictures. This week was the first time that Adalie smiled on purpose. She smiled first at Grammy and has continued every day since then. I was only able to get a picture of one of them! I love it.

Wedding Day

I ende up with very few photos of the wedding, so you'll just have to wait until the real ones are ready. The day went off without any major hitches other than the church's parking lot being re-paved during the ceremony :-). Addi slept during the wholw thing, but was dreaming so loudly, that we had to stand in the foyer (I think we had the best view). Sandy sang 'Be though my Vision', and did very well. After their beautiful ceremony, we all brave the 100+ heat and went to the reception. It was wonderful to see so many people and introduce Addi to them.
After the reception, we all made our way back to my parent's house for a Snavely family reunion. We passed Adalie around and played with cousins. My cousin Jill has three children; Jordyn 2, Adison 1 and Sam 3 months. We all played and visited - it was a great mini-family reunion.

All fancied up in the wedding duds.
