Family

This weekend was delightful as my mom (Eileen), sister (Cami) and her husband (Dave) all came to visit. They were here for the baby shower which was also my mom's birthday. We had a great time spending time together, playing games, sleeping and eating. All in all a successful weekend. They left on Saturday, but we got to go to Saturday Market first. These are just a few pictures of our little outing.
At the end, I included a picture of my cankles (swollen ankles) mostly because I was just so amazed at how puffy they got. I've been able to rest a lot more this weekend, so they haven't been that bad for a few days!
After the fam left, we worked to put the rest of the baby room together. We were able to put up the letters Katrina made - I had to show them off.

Baby Shower

I realize that I haven't posted in awhile and it now looks like all I do is go to baby showers! That's not quite true, but I certainly needed to blog about my church shower. My dear friends, Amy and Katrina threw a wonderful jungle-themed shower. It was wonderful to be celebrated in this way - I feel very special. My mom, Eileen and sister, Cami were able to come to town for the weekend which made it even more special.
Katrina's mom, Janice lead a devotion. This is a regular part of showers in my home church and was a very important part for me. I found myself quite tearing up as Janice shared about the impossibly huge job of being a mother and the amazing grace of God that covers us all. Thank you, Janice - that was very special.
Opening presents is always fun and for me the fun is doubled when there is a captive audience to listen to my stories :-) Oh, and we unveiled the baby's name. Her name is.....
Adalie Nicole Miller

We love it. And we can call her Addie, which is Sandy's favorite! Katrina painted some letters for her room - she used the same Noelle Dass art that is already in her (Adalie's) room. They turned out so well.

Thank you girls, so much!!!!!

This is one of the cute, cute outfits
that Sandy's mom, Lindsay sent for the shower.
Thanks, Lindsay!
Our very own Katrina painting.
How awesome is this.

My (I mean Adalie's) very own
'Ann' blanket. I love it!!!

So many people can to help us celebrate this wonderous, new little life. Thank you to all who not only celebrated with us this night, but who also pray for us. We are getting very excited to introduce our little one to you all soon.

The wonderful Moffitt Elementary family threw myself and my friend, Micah (who is expecting twins) a baby shower on Friday. We had so much fun enjoying each other and, I will confess, the wonderful gifts :-) Angie, in the first pictures is fantastic. She worked until the wee hours of the morning to craft the 'Sweet Pea' cupcakes. She made single peas and twin peas. They were so much fun.

49 days to go....33 weeks along.....whew!

Yeah! Time is beginning to fly. I am thirty-three weeks along. (Next week I'll be 8 1/2 months.) The fact that we are about to bring a human being into the world is quickly becoming very real to both of us. We are still very excited, though I (Nicole) am stressing a bit about having everything at work ready in time! We're so excited to introduce her to all of you. I know we still have time, but it's getting more and more fun to consider the reality of her. I think might even start packing the bag for the hospital tonight :-) I need little tasks like that to keep me awake. I haven't been able to let myself go to bed before 8:00 yet. Though, I have a feeling that that day is fast approaching.
33 Weeks...whew! Now THAT is a belly! :-)

Happy Festival of Sandy!

We had an impromptu party for Sandy. His birthday is Cinco de Mayo, but the Miller family likes to celebrate birthdays with a festival! We stole the idea from our good friend, Brad. A festival simply means that you and/or your friends/family celebrate your birthday for more than one day. A two to three day festival is respectable. The record is thirty! We kicked off Sandy's festival with a fun and mellow evening. We enjoyed a great hot dog dinner and then got to play outside. The Green's hosted our evening and we all had a great time playing in the back yard. The guys played Bocce Ball and the wives tried to keep the kids busy and distracted. It was a lot of fun and the kids were very funny.

Finley quickly discovered that he could walk down
the slide. He had a great time landing on his bum.

Thing 2 (Macey) also enjoyed the slide while
brother, Ethan swept the porch in the background

Sandy enjoyed kicking off the festival by opening
some presents. Thanks friends!
