Quite the little reader

One day, I was sitting on the couch reading the paper. I looked up and saw Adalie sitting on the bottom step reading the paper too. She is already quite the reader. She also loves to do what we're doing. Hurray for reading!

Sandy sings

Sandy had the opportunity to sing in a couple of different venues this fall. He was asked to sing a short recital at a winery event. He and Leticia Page, a local soprano took turns soloing and sang a few duets. The evening was wonderful. Sandy sang beautifully and had fun getting back into his music. About a week later, Sandy performed again with the Walla Walla Choral Society. They sang part of the Messiah. He was one of four soloists. It was another fun evening. Sandy has enjoyed being a part of the local music scene.

After the concert. Sandy was given a boquet
(with pine cones in it :-)

Thanksgiving in Adrian

This year we took Thanksgiving to my grandparent's house in Adrian, OR. I hadn't seen the house since it was finished, so it was a special treat for me. Addi did well on the drive which is always a plus :-). Nana and Pappy have a beautiful loft house. It was a little tricky getting Adalie to sleep when she could hear us having fun. There was a lot of "No, mama" and "Mama, up".
After the first night, she got it figured out and did pretty well. We had two full days of food and some good visiting. I was able to use our new camera (because I left the other one on the plane in October..sheesh) to take some good videos of Nana and Pappy telling family stories from their childhoods. I won't post them here, but they are treasures.

Addi on a rare break from her car seat when
we stopped at the grocery store to get ice cream.
We didn't have a cooler, so dad tied it to the top of the car
with the luggage rack.

Addi the helper

Addi LOVES to help around the house. She likes to weep (sweep), do the dishes and laundry. This is the classic laundry picture and I just had to include it :-)

Ok, ok, I am blogging again :-)

Mom and Dad have music practice for church every Friday night. Addi loves to participate. She sings, dances and tries to help play the piano with Grammy and the guitar with Mrs. Gonzales. Addi has started humming and singing to herself. I'm excited to hear the songs she comes up with as she gets more words.
