Dinner

Addi has always enjoyed food! Lately, she's been not wanting as much baby food. When we try to fee her, she just shakes her head and clamps her lips shut. She prefers to feed herself. Her favorites (today) are black beans, chicken and blueberries. The other day, I found some new biscuits. They were advertised as being good for teething babies. I gave Adalie one as I was doing laundry. I was folding and sorting while she munched away. When I looked back at her, she was COVERED with biscuit. It had basically fallen apart all over her. She was delighted. I just had to laugh..and then I gave her a bath.

This is the mad scientist face.

Such a happy mess

She's literally covered from head to foot.
My sweet girl

Yeah, it's been forever...

Wow, it has been way to long since I posted last. A lot has been happening here, so here goes. Sandy was hired at Umpqua bank and started last week. It's been quite an adjustment having both of us working full time. My mom came down last week to stay with Adalie and I have this week off for spring break (one of the perks of working at a school). We're working to finalize day care plans today - hopefully, we'll have it all figured out by Monday :-)
We are working as a family to figure out what we'll do next - we don't want Addi in full time day care any longer than she has to be. We aren't sure yet what this will look like, but we'll let you know when we do.

I love this pose. "Hey, mom, what's up?"

Sleepy and covered in prunes.

That's our girl.

Silly faces

We have been enjoying Adalie as she is so much more interactive. This morning was an early morning (starting at about 3). At four, I was on the couch trying to doze as she played. She started a game where she would turn around and smile at me - then turn away so her back was to me. She'd then peak around and smile. It was her first little game of hide and seek. In the last week or so she's gotten a lot more talkative. She just chats and chats and smiles and chats. So great.

It's a little blurry, but such a cute
expression.

I found this when I was taking a load of laundry out of the
washing machine. I think a (very slightly) wet diaper
had gotten mixed up with bath towels and thrown in the
washer. This, I believe, is how much a diaper can hold. It was sooooo heavy.
Note to self - don't put diapers in the washing machine :-)
This video is called, "Mama, I don't want that." Adalie started making this funny little face when she didn't want to eat what I was trying to feed her. We made it a game, and she eventually did eat a little dinner.
